Empowering Youth through PAYRISE and All Heart NZ Partnership
PAYRISE partnered with All Heart NZ to provide hands-on experience for its first cohort. Over two weeks, cadets faced challenges, developed workplace skills, and built confidence. On August 16, the WAYFYNDERS youth team hosted an island-themed engagement dinner for 40 guests, managing budget, menu planning, and event coordination. The experience emphasized practical learning, allowing participants to develop hospitality, budgeting, and logistics skills. Such events showcase the capabilities of young individuals when entrusted with responsibility.
Enterprise Training in Disguise
A recent PAYRISE session at WAYFYNDERS East disguised as a baking challenge served as enterprise training. Cadets formed teams to create and pitch a cookie brand within 45 minutes. This exercise fostered skills like collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving, illustrating that impactful learning often doesn’t resemble traditional training methods.
