Youth as Mentors
In response to improving attendance and engagement in our community, we have begun working alongside some Year 7/8’s at local primary schools who are facing challenges around their attendance.
We started as a group of 4, mentoring one student each at Glen Taylor School. It was a valuable experience for our mentors and mentees who built meaningful relationships. Youth as Mentors also saw very positive impact on the attendance of the mentees!
We have since increased the number of mentors and are now working with more local schools.
